Feeding South Florida

Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger by providing immediate access to nutritious food, by leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and by transforming lives through innovative programming and education. Feeding South Florida, the largest food bank in the state, is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity.

Since 1981, Feeding South Florida has provided food and other grocery products to our hungry neighbors and has actively educated and engaged our communities to fight hunger and poverty. Through a local network of 400 partner agencies / nonprofit organizations, Feeding South Florida strives to serve almost 1 million individuals in need, including more than 300,000 children who are food insecure, the elderly, and the working poor, in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties with dignity and compassion.

For each $1 that is donated, Feeding South Florida can provide 6 meals to those struggling to put food on the table.

Their Programs: Feeding South Florida provides innovative and comprehensive programs and services that address the underlying issues of hunger, fill service gaps in underserved areas, and provide food and solutions for those who struggle to put food on the table, or may not know from where they will get their next meal.

Awareness and Advocacy: Feeding South Florida ensures that hunger and its underlying causes are at the forefront of community awareness. Feeding South Florida is the leader of advocacy efforts and implementing solutions to end hunger in South Florida. Food Resources: Feeding South Florida secures nutritional food to satisfy the needs of those struggling to put food on the table in South Florida.
