Reasons why people embrace and lionize our creative efforts.

About Us · who we are, and why.

Rockers. Movement.

ROCKERS rock·ur(s): a person(s) who performs, dances to, or enjoys music, especially of a particular type.

MOVEMENT moov·ment: a group of people working together to advance their shared political, social, or artistic ideas.

Art tells the story of our lives. We are cultural ambassadors of a global conscious movement. Rockers Movement is people focused on producing and presenting creative work. Vanguards of the arts. Derived from the 1978 film ‘Rockers’, this movement started with an obligation to do something for the greater good. Today we present experiences for all to come together to produce a lasting change.

Our goal is to highlight conscious artistry to further positive activism. The ways in which we can be supportive are limitless. By working together we transform our environment and ourselves. The arts has helped us to connect like-minded, cool, and positive people to our movement. Join us, we are Rockers!

What began in 1998 as a single festival has grown into an ecosystem. Rockers Movement remains the founding chapter, the place where the work of institution-building first took shape through reggae, sound system culture, and Caribbean community. That same commitment now carries forward through the AfriKin Foundation, and through Rockers Movement Radio and AfriKin Store, each a different instrument for the same purpose: building lasting cultural infrastructure, not just producing one-off events.

If you want to know just how much the arts impact lives, you’re in the right place

We are considered tastemakers who use the arts and social technology to reestablish the human connection. We are supported by a unique and loyal following we call Rockers. They contribute to our growth through a shared vision in the communities where we live, work and play.

As a brand our mission is dangerous and goes completely against the status quo. For we are more about people than profit. We are more than rainmakers. WE ARE ROCKERS.

Dancing to the rhythm of life

The truth is we all need someone or something to believe in. We work to inspire and aspire people to be a part of our tribe. We believe in the power of the people, so winning the hearts and minds is our objective. We incorporate the fun and vitality that the arts bring to the human soul with a serious need for solutions.

Rockers is about moving on, taking chances, embracing the new. We present some of the most musically eclectic and artistic events on the western hemisphere bar none. We felt an identity was needed to reflect the ‘Rockers’ spirit and vision, strong, bold, secure and peaceful.
